Permit Parking
The possibility of permit parking coming to our hood has fallen off the radar, as if it never was raised. With the election and fiscal crisis and California's overall spiral into hell, its understandable. But this LA blog post brought it back and I'm rattled; guy writes how City of LA more than DOUBLED fees for visitor parking permits. He's been tapped for $135 a year so friends can swing by his crib. It hasn't ever dropped off the radar, it's now just under another guise. The Beachwood homeowners are trying to include us in their permanent parking plan, and have for some time.
